Barry Prophet Participates in Acoustic Cameras’ Project

Acoustic Cameras is a rare phenomenon. Today around 100 artists are included in the arrangement. This “sound annexation project” intercepts the signals of global webcams, which stream live on the site.

The artist is invited to deliver a piece of music related to the (live) stream. This sound piece is acting as a modification of reality. It’s a challenge, given the fact that the scenes remain the same while the images are always changing.

In Barry Prophet’s own words, concerning his contribution: “Both my sound art ‘Flint & Shale’, and the camera site are studies in time and space, apparent, anticipated & perceived. Repetition & change.” Check it out here
