ShapeShiftingAliens: Fade Away
ShapeShiftingAliens follow up their critically acclaimed single and video, Showing My Face, with the single and video Fade Away. Both singles are included on the well-published album ShapeShiftingAliens. A few review examples follow below:
Midlands Metalheads wrote a very favorable review about their self-titled album, claiming that: “I could have easily highlighted something about every track on the album, it is simply that good.” It continues: “I cannot recommend this album enough, fans of Bowie, Mansun, Goldfrapp, and anyone who appreciates electronic song composition with depth and bombast should certainly pay this album a visit.”
The Big Takeover – a New York music magazine writes: “It’s easy to recall David Bowie and Tin Machine upon listening to this, as well as the wonderful compositions between Angelo Badalamenti and Trent Reznor for David Lynch‘s Lost Highway soundtrack, not to mention Brian Eno at his most upbeat and Moby. There’s even a dash of Underworld in their less hallucinogenic moments. This is superb and addictive – one of the better tracks of 2018 thus far.”
ShapeShiftingAliens’ album review in Floorshimer Zipper Boots. They write: “The twelve tracks weave and swirl through forests of reverb, with towering lyrical themes, terse music minimalism and an inert power that compels the album forward. This is prog rock at its finest.” In addition, Floorshime Zipper Boots now has featured top 10 Artists of 2018, with ShapeShiftingAliens’ album as number 7, based on their readers pageviews.
